Overview

Nevado Vallunaraju has a spectacular view of the white mountain range, it is one of the mountains preferred by climbers for its easy access and serves for acclimatization. Nevado Pisco is now considered by visitors as one of the mountains that has a spectacular view, the normal western pisco route is considered ideal to adapt to the altitude and chosen by many mountaineers to finish a trekking or acclimatize before an ascent more technical.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

We recommend that you do at least a 1 – 3 -day hike at altitude to acclimatize before going on this tour. Not suitable for people in a state of severe obesity and with cardiovascular diseases.

Included

  • Transport: From Huaraz to the starting point of your activity, and from the end point of your activity back to Huaraz. We use private transport, minivans and other types of cars, depending on the size of the group.
  • Guide: Qualified and experienced mountain guide who speaks Spanish and English.
  • Cook: A professional cook who is trained to prepare healthy dishes in a hygienic manner, depending on the size of the group.
  • Muleteers: In charge of taking the donkeys with our materials and backpacks, taking care of them and guiding them. (depending on the expedition we are replaced by porters / people who load things)
  • Donkeys: The number of donkeys provided depends on the size of the group. The donkeys carry tents, food, climbing rope to base camp and back, but you must bring your own personal equipment. (depending on the expedition we are replaced by porters / people who load things)
  • Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner.
  • Equipment: Good quality high mountain tent, sleeping mattress, ropes, carabiners, dining tent (depending on the size of the group), table and chairs, first aid kit, stove, crockery and kitchen utensils. We can also provide you with personal mountain equipment if you do not have one.
  • Entrance fee: for the national park.

Exclude

  • First breakfast, last dinner, soft or alcoholic beverages, medical treatment, travel insurance, tips, additional expenses as a result of leaving the expedition early, additional expenses as a result of rescue or emergency evacuation.

  • Well used in mountain boots or trekking shoes
  • Comfortable clothing: T-shirt (quick-drying or merino wool recommended), trekking pants or leggings, sweater, wool trekking socks, underwear, long thermal underwear, fleece, gloves, hat, buff.
  • Down jacket quality 650 to 900 thermal degrees
  • Waterproof jacket and pants (Gore-Tex recommended)
  • Gore-Tex gloves
  • Bottle of water 1 liter, We will provide you with boiled and purified water

Tour Plan

Travel in mobility in 1 ½ to 2 hours approx. then we will go up to the Morrena field with a view of the Nevado Ranrapalca, Ocshapalca until we reach 4800m where we will camp. 3hrs approx.
We begin our ascent at 2 am crossing some moraines until we reach the wide glacier and climb to the summit where we will be rewarded with views of the Ranrapalca, Huantsan and Huantsan snow-capped mountains. others, then we will descend to Campo Morrena. Descent to Refuge and return to Huaraz in Mobility. 5 hours approx.
From Huaraz we moved to Cebollapampa by transport about 2 to 3 hours approx. During the trip we will be able to appreciate two very beautiful lagoons Chinancocha (lag. Hembra) and Orconcocha (lag. Male) We will follow the llanguna valley until we reach Cebollapampa. Where we will begin our walk to the moraine field, there we will camp. 4 to 5 hours approx. On a walk.
We start the ascent at 3:00 am crossing some moraines until we reach the glacier, then we will go through some slopes of (35 – 40°) inclination until we reach the summit, where we will be able to appreciate magnificent views such as the gigantic Chacraraju, the Artesonraju (paramount), Huandoys, Caraz, Huascaran, Alpamayo and others. Then we will descend to the Morrena field where we will have our rest, lunch and continue to the base camp. 6 to 7 hours of ascent approx.
This day we will descend to Cebollapampa where our mobility and return to Huaraz awaits us. 1 1/2 to 2 hours of walking.
