Alpamayo 5749 m / 19 511ft, es uno de los picos más conspicuos de la Cordillera Blanca de los Andes peruanos, es considerado la “montaña más bella del mundo”, se encuentra en el lado norte de la Cordillera Blanca, donde se encuentran las montañas más espectaculares de esta cordillera. Altas cumbres, nieve eterna, paredes escalonadas, hacen de este el favorito de los escaladores de todo el mundo.


  • Transport: From Huaraz to the starting point of your activity, and from the end point of your activity back to Huaraz. We use private transport, minivans and other types of cars, depending on the size of the group.
  • Guide: Qualified and experienced mountain guide who speaks Spanish and English.
  • Cook: A professional cook who is trained to prepare healthy dishes in a hygienic manner, depending on the size of the group.
  • Muleteers: In charge of taking the donkeys with our materials and backpacks, taking care of them and guiding them. (depending on the expedition we are replaced by porters / people who load things)
  • Donkeys: The number of donkeys provided depends on the size of the group. The donkeys carry tents, food, climbing rope to base camp and back, but you must bring your own personal equipment. (depending on the expedition we are replaced by porters / people who load things)
  • Meals: Breakfast, packed lunch and dinner.
  • Equipment: Good quality high mountain tent, sleeping mattress, ropes, carabiners, dining tent (depending on the size of the group), table and chairs, first aid kit, stove, crockery and kitchen utensils. We can also provide you with personal mountain equipment if you do not have one.
  • Entrance fee: for the national park.

  • Well used in mountain boots or trekking shoes
  • Comfortable clothing: T-shirt (quick-drying or merino wool recommended), trekking pants or leggings, sweater, wool trekking socks, underwear, long thermal underwear, fleece, gloves, hat, buff.
  • Down jacket quality 650 to 900 thermal degrees
  • Waterproof jacket and pants (Gore-Tex recommended)
  • Gore-Tex gloves
  • Bottle of water 1 liter, We will provide you with boiled and purified water
  • Toilet paper, personal toiletries, small towel

You are picked up at your hotel and we board our transport to go along the Callejón de Huaylas on the north side of Huaraz. We pass through the different districts such as Carhuas (2650m) and Yungay (2500m). We arrive at Caraz (2250m) and continue to reach Cashapampa. From here we start walking for 5 to 6 hours to the Llamacorral camp (3800m).
Today we walk along the valley enjoying the beautiful turquoise lakes called Ichiccocha and Jatuncocha. We have lunch in Quisuar and go up to the base camp of Alpamayo (4300m).
After breakfast we start to climb a rocky road for about 3 hours to reach the Moraine camp (4800m), where we will enjoy splendid views of the Artesonraju, Paria, Pucajirca and other mountains. After setting up the tents we checked our climbing equipment for the next day.
Today we climb for about 4.5 hours to reach Camp 1 (5550m).
On this day breakfast will be at 2 am and then we will begin to climb to the summit. After about 1 hour of walking in the snow we reach the base of the wall (Ferrari route), the incline is approx. 75º. After 2 or 3 hours of ascent we reach the summit (5947m), where we have impressive views of the peaks of the white mountains. When we are ready to descend, we begin to rappel with the help of our guide. We arrive at Camp 1 (5550m) around lunch time.
We take the same route to return to Moraine Camp, then continue to Base Camp (4300m). Day 7: Base Camp – Cashapampa – Huaraz On the last day we walk downhill through the Santa Cruz valley, enjoying the beautiful view of the Jatuncocha and Ichiccocha lakes, until we reach Cashapampa, where our transport will be waiting for us to return to Huaraz, a trip of approximately 3.5 hours.
